If you haven't already, please read the General and RP rules.
Creating your Character:
Start by creating a character profile here, using the following template:
Name:
Age:
Gender:
Species:
Homeworld:
Height:
Weight:
Build:
Hair color/length:
Eye Color:
Affiliation:
Status: (Select Politican, Force User, Jedi/Sith, Soldier, Chiss Ascendancy, Scoundrel, Worker or None if you are unemployed or are a bounty hunter/assassin. If you want a status that isnt listed, ask a mod or admin)
Weapons:
Bio:
You can also add whatever other information you desire, including images of your character, pictures of weapons, armor, lightsabers ect. to show as examples of what your character and your stuff looks like. Make it simple or in-depth, whatever works for you.
Once your character has been made, change your Screen name to that of your character. Your character will be put into a category based on his or her occupation. The categories are indicated by screen name color and member title, and are as follows:
Yellow: Galactic Citizen (Ordinary folks just making their way in the Galaxy)
Dark Purple: Republic Politician (Government officials)
Blue: Soldier/Republic Defense Force (Military Officers)
Lime Green: Jedi (Jedi, duh!)
Red: Dark Jedi/Sith (Dark side force users)
Light Blue: Chiss Ascendancy (Members of the Chiss military/government)
Teal: Fringe (bounty hunters, assassins, and the like)
This will be set by an admin. If it doesn't happen within a couple days of posting your profile, PM an admin and we'll see to it.
Roleplaying Basics
This is our suggested style:
Actions are put between asterisks (i.e. *sits down*)
Thoughts are put between colons (i.e. ::Hmm, what should I eat for supper?:: )
Words are spoken in simple text, you don't have to use qoutation marks (i.e. Hi everone!)
If you really want to use another style, feel free to. As long as words, actions, thoughts, etc. can be told apart.
Your character may start out with a comlink and a small blaster pistol. If your character is 20 years old (or whatever passes for adulthood for his or her species), you may start out with a starfighter or small freighter.
A house is not necessary if your character travels frequently, lives in the Jedi Temple, or lives aboard his or her freighter. Living in a starfighter is strongly discouraged.
To cut down on clutter, only staff members can create new planets and locations on planets. If a location you need doesn't exist, PM a staff member and we'll create it ASAP.
Money Matters
Your character starts out with 2000 credits to spend on housing, transport, weapons, etc. at the various stores and financial offices located throughout the Galaxy. Your credits are listed in the Personal Text under your avatar. When you pay for something, subtract the cost from the amount in your profile. Refer back to the rule about cheating.
Monthly paychecks are provided, based on your member group. The amounts are as follows:
Republic: 500 credits
Jedi: 400
Bad Guys: 400
Galactic Citizens: 300
Fringe: 300
In addition, you will receive bonuses as you reach certain post counts. The target post counts and the amounts you will receive will be a surprise
If you are caught paying yourself extra, a temp ban will be issued.
The RP Directory is a sort of Star Wars Yellow Pages, providing all sorts of places to spend your money.
You may make your own store or restaurant to sell items for a profit. However, items must be 50 credits or less. If you sell items over 50 credits, your character may not make a profit from them.
Similarly, you can sell your items for the same price you purchased them for. No more. You can sell them for less, but why would you want to?
Concerning Jedi
Only staff members may be Jedi Masters.
If you are a Jedi, you get an apartment-type room in the Jedi Temple to call home. You do not need to buy a house.
If you are an untrained Force user, you may use the following skills:
Bounty Hunters
Your character may visit the Bounty Hunter's Guild in lower Coruscant to find the list of current bounties.
Hunting Official Bounties
Official Bounties are legal bounties either posted or approved by the Republic. When hunting an official bounty you may post as your prey, provided you make the challenge realistic and put some effort into the capture. Once you have captured your prey, post at the bounty office so that we can remove the bounty, then you can add the reward amount to your funds.
Hunting Personal Bounties
Personal Bounties are posted on member controlled characters, and in this case you cannot post as your prey, but they must be controlled by the member who owns that character.
You must have permission from a staff member to hunt another player. The other player's permission is optional.
You may then hunt your target. Remember, no superpowers. You can't just happen to know where they are and jet off to their location. You have to hunt them. Once your character is in the same location (i.e. the same thread) as the target, you may apprehend them.
If a bounty hunter finds you, you must allow him to capture you, you can fight and make it look fancy but in the end, you lose. You can run all you want when you know you're being hunted, but as long as a bounty hunter catches up with you, you must allow your character to be captured. However a bounty hunter can not capture you when you are offline. If you are offline, he must wait until you are on and can be captured.
When a character is captured, he/she is brought to the Bounty Office where the bounty was posted, or if you were doing a private job for someone, straight to whoever hired you. Once captured, the character will be put in prison where they must remain for a full 24 hours (RL time), after that time they have the option of escaping or being set free.
You may ask to hire another player to capture someone for you, assuming they are a Bounty Hunter. Whether or not they accept the offer is their choice. You may have to negotiate a price, which you must pay if your target is caught. Otherwise, you may find yourself spending a day in jail...
If there is a price on your head, you may cintact the character who has placed it and bargain for it to be removed. They may or may not accept.
Republic Defense Force (RDF)
If you are in the RDF please be sure to specify which branch you belong to so that we can put it in your personal title. The four military branches are as follows--
You may have a military rank if you would like; however, it must not be a position that will allow you command of any more than 20 troops, and abuse of any such authority will not be tolorated.
Minor Characters
In addition to your one main character, you are allowed to use minor characters to further populate the RP Galaxy. Minor character profiles go here, with one thread for all your minor characters. Minor characters are distinguished from your main character in RP by using a different text color. You can pick any color for a minor character. Extremely minor characters (such as random passers-by and other people your character only interacts with once) do not need profiles, just a text color.
A final note. Please, have some creativity. Don't be another Teenage Human Dark Jedi Clone Bounty Hunter flying a YT-1300. There are dozens of races and hundreds of awesome professions in the Star Wars Galaxy. If your heart is set on the Jedi path, so be it. But please, try not to be a movie character knockoff.
Congratulations! The torture is over! Go forth and begin your Star Wars RP Experience!

- Army of the Republic - a ground-based division. Includes soldier transport vessels for battles off-world, and ground artillery.
- Republic Naval Forces - spacecraft based military units. The largest and strongest of the Republic armies. Includes many naval ships.
- Republic Starfighter Corps - works often with the navy, as well as in planetary defense, and scouting missions (pilots of the RSC who are also Jedi may use their Jedi starfighters as their designated fighting vessel).
- Republic Galactic Marine Brigade - a small versatile military unit trained for both ground and space combat; adaptable to and trained for all climates and conditions.
You may have a military rank if you would like; however, it must not be a position that will allow you command of any more than 20 troops, and abuse of any such authority will not be tolorated.
