Kad's airspeeder dives into the canyons, and started moving slowly through them. It was getting dark, and the canyons made it seem even darker. The pilot turned on the speeders headlights. Kad looked back at the soldiers behind him. They looked nervous. Kad looked out the windshield. It was the setting. And possibly the fact that a mere boy - or so it must seem - was leading them. He'd earn there respect. Especially if he was correct, and the rebels were here. Then it occured to him he might need some backup. As the minutes passed, he felt more and more sure he was right. The rebels were here.

The pilot turned to Kad. "We're getting closer to the old rebel base. Do you want me to set down?" "Yes. Land." *guides the ship to the river banks and lands* *unfastens his safty harness and moves walks down the back of the ship on the uneven floor, inbetween the soldiers* "Allright, we're near the rebel base, but we'll have to get there on foot. We can't get to close to the rebels, or they'll pick us up on their scanners." Kad looked at the soldiers. "Let's move." He opend the ramp and jumped down onto the river bank.

Kad and the soldiers started to make their way down the river bank, heading towards the old abandoned Rebel Base. They approached it without any trouble. Finally, they arrived at one of the entrances. Kad let them to a large boulder that provided good cover. Kad got out his electrobinoculars and watched it. There was no movement. "Ok, we're going in." He turned around and faced his sqaud of troopers. "I want you, and you, to secure the entrance," He said, picking out two of his soldiers." The two soldiers ran out from their cover and climb the slope and flank the entrance. They both looked inside, turning on the lights on their riffles. One of them spoke into his radio. << Clear. >> Kad motioned for the other soldiers to move up to the entrance, then broke cover and ran up to the entrance. The soldiers were right behind him. Kad looked inside. "Ok, we're going in." He turned on the light on his rifle and walked started moving down the tunnel. ~Move to the Rebel Base~

[glow=blue,2,300][shadow=blue,left,300]DEEP BENEATH THE RIVER[/shadow][/glow]
Ryen Kraus followed Sargent Dakria down the poorly illuminated hallway. They were in the new Resistance Base. Deep under the river. Beneath the river floor. He looked around him as he walked with Dakria. It was small. It was still under construction. And it was barely functional. But they needed it very badly. As soon as they could, they had started shipping equipment, personnel, and resistance leaders down to the base. The lighting wasn't working properly, and half the lights were not working. Those that were were flickering and were threatening to burn out. It could, and was getting very claustrophobic down here. When Kraus called Sla'taa the three times since he found out about the new base, he didn't have a chance to inform her about it. There were bigger things he needed to tell her first, then he would have to leave without warning. He would make sure to inform her next time he called in, which would be tonight. Dakria was leading him to a meeting where they would be told about the plan to attack the Dantooine Government. Then he would tell Sla'taa everything. Ryen was nervous, and he didn't bother trying to hide it. Everyone down here was nervous. It was probably partly due to the atmosphere, and partly because of the fact that the Dantooine Resistance had suffered defeat after defeat to the Dantooine Government -- Mostly because of me -- and partly because they had a plan that was rumored to cripple the Dantooine Government. Even if it could, it won't. When I inform Sla'taa about it, they'll take counter measures. The resistance will suffer in the end, not the government. Dakria stopped in front of on of the leaders' offices and entered. Ryen Kraus followed.

After the meeting, the Resistance members collected their datapads, and began to exit the room. Ryen Kraus left the room and made his way to his room. He collected his secure comlink, and made his way to a storage room that was currently being unused. On his way, he passed Sargent Dakria.
Sargent Dakria passed Kraus, and went back to the office where the meeting was held. He needed to talk to General Aiosh. When he entered the office, General Aiosh looked up.
"Dakria, what is it?"
"I forgot to give you my report." He handed a folder over to the general. A moment later, his comlink rang. "Excuse me." He turned away from the general and answered it. "Sargent Dakria." After a moment he turned back to General Aiosh. "General, our double agent in Walter's camp is on the line."
The general looked up. "Put him on."
"Alright, you're on."
******************
Back in the storage room, Ryen was briefing Sla'taa on the situation. "You have to start preparing for the attack, and a member of the government is deeply involved. It's happening in three days. The target is -"
Sargent Dakria ran into the room. His blaster was leveled at Ryen's chest. "Ryen!! Hands up!"
Ryen drew his blaster with lightning speed, bringing it up into firing position, all in the blink of an eye. But he wasn't fast enough.
Dakria fired two shots. Both hit their mark. Dakria moved over to Ryen as he fell, keeping his blaster trained on him.
<< Kraus? can you - >> came over the comlink Ryen had dropped.
Dakria looked from the comlink to Ryen. "Ryen, who is on the end of that channel? How much did you tell them?" He bent down and picked up the comlink, turning it off. "Ryen, How much did you tell them!!?"
Ryen looked up at Dakria through blurring vision. He coughed slightly, and his head rolled to the side.
Dakria bent down and felt Ryen Kraus' pulse. He closed his eyes for a moment. then stood and walked away from the body, holstering his blaster. He got out his comlink to brief General Aiosh.

Dakria ran down the halls of the underwater base. Three years had seen many changes to the rebel base. It was now larger, it had more personel, and was much more functional. Right now the alarms were going off. People were running down the halls, getting to their posts. Their base had been found. Now they needed to evacuate and defend.
Zarrott ran up beside him, matching speed. "Dakria, we've got gunships entering the canyons! There's a whole fleet of them and they'll be here in moments!" Zarrot said as he dodged someone running in the opposite direction.
"Get our fighters into the air - all of them!"
"But sir, they'll be wiped out!"
"Not if all our turrents are manned! Make sure they are!"
"Yes sir!" Zarrot parted from Dakria and seemed to disappear.
Dakria ran on to manage the evacuation.

[teal]Dolar's gunship moved away from the river and flew over the sloping, rocky river bank. Dolar looked at a mini-datapad that was showing their location compared to the rebel base. They were almost upon it when a rocket fired up from the river directly next to their gunship. He heard an explosion from behind and above. "We're close enough! Deploy! All units deploy!"
Dolar already had secured his repel line and so all he had to do was wait for the green light. The pilot flew in even lower to the ground and slowed. The light turned green. Dolar jumped. His cord jerked and smoothed out as he slid down towards the ground. The moments his boots touched the ground he detached his cable and made his way to cover. Soldiers behind him were touching the ground as well. Rockets were coming out of the river near him. There were also hidden turrents firing at the gunships, though not as often. They didn't want to give away their position.
Dolar watched and waited for a minute. The rest of his soldiers were repelling and finding cover still when a rock-like turrent on the opposite bank suddenly fired. The gunship was hit and smoke started streaming from its right wing. "Captain, take out that turrent!" Dolar shouted into his comm to one of the teams on the right river bank. Another turrent fired; this time it was on Dolar's side. "Alright, let's go!" Dolar shouted. He leapt up and started running for the turrent, his troops coming after him.[/teal]

[teal]Dolar dropped to the ground as a layer of E-Web fire ripped through the gravel and rock. He covered his head as a wave of shrapnel landed on him. :: Where are these guys getting all this weaponry? And where did they get the funds for it all?? Someone must be supporting them. :: He got up and dove forwards, moving several feet towards the E-Web. It fired at him, but he was safe among the rocks again. A fountain of water shot up in the river as a Gunship laser hit it. On the opposite bank there seemed to be a heavy firefight going on. :: The captain has enough men to deal with it. :: Dolar concentrated once more on the E-Web. He could almost make out the shape in the darkness. He modified his prone position, then readied his rifle, attaching a laser scope. This was the way he preferred doing things. He hadn't met anyone yet who could match him with the sniper rifle. Once he shot Siri Durron's minor character "Jason" from over a mile off. This shot would be easy. He looked through the scope, trained it on the E-Web position, and turned on the scope. Everything lit up in orange. He could now see the cannon placement easily. Three men were near it. Two were operating the weapon, and the third was prone, shooting at Dolar's men with his rifle. In a millisecond, the laser was trained on the E-Web gunners forehead. He squeezed the trigger. The next was the rebel with the rifle. Bang. He switched aim to the last rebel - the E-Web loader. He fired. All anyone would've seen was three blue blaster bolts firing in quick succession. And then the E-Web stopped firing. With a shout, the soldiers sprang up from the rocks and started charging forwards. Dolar detached the scope, clipped it to his belt, and joined them.[/teal]
