Bio:
Cale was born on the seedy world of Nar Shaddaa to two refugees of skirmishes between rivaling factions in the galaxy. His mother was the daughter of a chieftain back on her homeworld and his father was a bounty hunter. They had left Cale's mother's homeworld just before Cale was born when Cale's father was framed for a murder. In order to support his new family, Cale's father returned to his life as a bounty hunter, a life that he had abandoned when he met Cale's mother. However, years away from the business had made him soft and when he was contracted to kill an innocent man, father of three, he couldn't do it. This act of disobedience was repaid with the swift execution of his wife leaving him to care for his now motherless son. As Cale grew up, the desire for vengeance against his mother's killer haunted him but also gave him strength during the exhausting training his father put him through day after day. His father wanted to pass on his bounty hunting skills to his son, Cale, to prepare him for the harsh realities of life in the galaxy and for the day when he wouldn't be there to protect Cale. That day arrived when Cale turned 18. Cale's father saw that his son was ready to care for himself and decided this meant that he could finally seek retribution for his wife's murder. He sought out the Hutt lord, Jorenga, who had sanctioned the execution and when he found him he allowed his emotions to get the better of him. In the heat of the moment, seeing his wife's killer up close, he pulled his blaster and took a shot. The shot tore through Jorenga's torso, wounding him but failing to kill, and that was that for Cale's father. A battery of blaster fire tore through the redeemed bounty hunter and his lifeless body fell to the ground. When Cale heard the news, he was devastated. But soon the devastation boiled away and only anger remained. It fuelled his desire for vengeance. He tore through Jorenga's palace, slaughtering all in his path, pushed on by his unleashed rage. Finally he found himself in front of Jorenga. He swung his sabre but was blocked by the last of Jorenga's body guards. Jorenga began to slither away and as Cale saw this, realizing that he may lose his chance to slay his parents killer, his gathering rage exploded, bringing to life the dormant force abilities within him and killing everyone in the room but himself. Cale had welded the force for the first time. He had power, immense power but it was uncontrolled, it was violent and it was devastating. Cale had begun his first steps down the path to the dark side of the force. It was a gradual descent with event after event further leading Cale down into the depths of the dark side and further increasing his power over the force. Eventually Cale became one of the most powerful force users in the galaxy. This attracted the attention of Darth Vyredic, a decrepit and twisted sith lord who desired Cale as his new apprentice. Cale at first refused but was soon turned by Vyredic's offer of honing Cale's abilities so that he may one day rule the galaxy. Cale did not realize that Vyredic actually intended to use Cale to make himself ruler of the galaxy. Cale was given the title of Darth Hatek, for his all consuming hatred. He adorned himself in dark black cloak and robes and he hid his identity behind an iron mask with a double sided E painted across the mask in red. The E symbol was one of the markings of his mother's tribe. He had similar symbols tattooed across his face and arms as well. Vyredic and Cale aka Hatek battled the Jedi for years on end until the tide of war flowed in the sith's favour. This is when Vyredic took his chance. Just after he and Hatek had slain a young jedi sent to assasinate them, he turned his sabre on his apprentice, slicing off Hatek aka Cale's hand. A fearsome duel ensued but the unexpected nature of Vyredic's attack had thrown Cale off and he was defeated. As Cale lay at Vyredic's mercy, Vyredic chose not to slay Cale but instead decided to carve Hatek's revered E symbol onto Cale's chest as a reminder of his failure and then proceeded to banish Cale to the outer rim where he would live out his life in shame and misery. Cale was taken to the outer rim by Vyredic's guards and abandoned on the planet Telos. Cale was broken, he made the decision to turn away from the dark side at that moment but couldn't find it in himself to return to the light. He found himself in between, a broken man, unsure about himself, left to rethink the mistakes of his past as he wanders aimlessley from planet to planet, an echo of the man that was once there. Years past during Cale's exile and he found himself back on his homeworld, Nar Shaddaa, and it was a moment of clarity for Cale. He saw a young boy, his parents being taken by huttese henchmen, pull out a blaster and aim for his parent's captor's. Fate, or rather the force, Cale felt had lead him here to redeem himself to save this boy from the life he'd lived and to begin down a new path, start the next chapter of his life. He used the force to take the boy's blaster, walked over to him and said 'don't worry young one, I have a feeling everything's going to be alright'.
