Jim Carrey as the Riddler was teh pwn
Teh pwn indeed.
But I liked the choices they made for the villains in all the movies, except maybe Schwartzeneggar as Mr. Freeze.
blah
If you're looking in relation to the comic-book villains then the casting didn't do TO well, IMO.
also keep in mind that Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are part of a seperate series... it's a reboot... not what Superman Returns was.
Joker --- Jack Nicholson --- Ok, I guess... Joker wasn't too realistic though
Penguin --- Danny DeVito --- Good casting... but Penguin shouldn't have been in the film at all.
Two-Face --- Tommy Lee Jones --- He was a good choice... Two-Face, though was not really done right.
Riddler --- Jim Carrey --- IMO, not a good choice. Riddler was made too much like Joker. Of course he is like that a little bit... but not THAT much.
Mr. Freeze --- Arnold Schwartzenegger --- Horrible... nuff said.
Poison Ivy --- Uma Thurman --- Casting was ok, if not good... character was done horribly...
Bane --- Jeep Swenson --- Casing horrible... the character was horrible! In the comics Bane is an intelligent guy who works on his own!
I don't understand why they'd cast ONLY famouse people... bad casting IMO.
Now let's talk about the new series.
Ra's Al Ghul --- Liam Neeson --- Pretty good casting, good character.
Scarecrow --- Cillian Murphy --- Very good casting. Character was terrific!
Joker --- Heath Ledger --- Casting was ok, I guess... character? I've not yet seen yet...
Two-Face --- Aaron Eckhart --- Casting was ok (I don't like the blonde hair though)...
Riddler --- Anthony Michael Hall --- Casting very good... (better than Jim Carrey)...
Personally I don't understand why on earth anytime a role get a comedy role they almost always go to "Jim Carrey"... I mean, he's a good comedy actor, but you bring out a role of someone who was, in a previous, bad movie and the character was done wrong and say "who can play him"... "Jim Carrey"! Give me a break...
Anyway, I'm a fan of Jim Carrey's... but not for playing in comic-book movies...
