Two weeks ago: Crie Hail walked down the corridor with her husband, Calon, just after a council meeting. She was clearly disappointed. "We need Soleia." She said, "Soleia, Lavender, Jacinth, Kalo.." she started to list all of the Jedi that would profit them if a war erupted. "We've got a lot of good Jedi here, Crie. Don't worry about it. Besides, last I knew, we couldn't bring people back from the dead. And the Visors have been dead for 8 years." Crie stopped walking and looking at Calon, "but how many of them have been generals? lieutenants? How many of them have seen the wars that the others have? Besides the masters on the council?" Calon stopped to think. Crie nodded her point, "only a handful, and even then, name one of them that has done the things Soleia has." "Crie, you're speaking madness, no one is ever going to trust her again after what she's done." Crie turned and started walking. "That's just the point! Who better to fight our enemies than the one that defeated us before? And her training wasn't even complete then. Now that it is she is more powerful than she ever was." She paused to look at him, "and this time she's purely in the light side. I've sensed it in her, even from a far. She won't make that mistake again, Cal." Calon gave his wife a sympathetic look, "I know, Crie," he sighed and put a hand on her arm. "But how are you going to convince the senate- the council? Without that evidence they'll never be convinced! To them, Soleia is still a murderer, they don't know Lavender is still alive." He spoke the last part in a lowered tone. "And they can't know until the evidence is complete, too much is at stake. Be patient, doll." Crie gave him a wry smile, "I don't know why the younglings think I'm so patient.. it's the thing I'm worst at." Calon laughed, "you think you are, but you aren't." "Mom! Dad!" Ralph yelled in delight after he saw them outside his training room. Class had just gotten out. He ran to them and then stopped short and gave a little bow. "Masters," he said with reverence. "Hey pal!" Calon scooped down, picked him up and threw him in the air over his head then put him down. "We should go to dinner, the young one's most likely hungry by now." "Are you hungry, Ralph?" "Yes, Master, I am starved." Crie always found it amusing how their son sometimes called them by their Jedi titles and not paternal and maternal ones. "Then we'd best get you something to eat before you keel over!" Ralph looked extremely serious, "I won't keel over, Master. I think I will make it to the dining room." Calon belted out a rich laugh. "You're funny, kid." The comment please Ralph and he smiled, "thanks dad!" He grinned. Crie laughed at her son and husband, they were two little joys in her hectic Jedi life that now seemed to get a little worse. And just like that the problems of tomorrow soon lifted and she decided to enjoy the company of her husband and son.

"We mustn't tarry. Master Crie had to meet with the Council which is why she wasn't here to meet you, I'm sure you must be disappointed. " They had reached the door to the halls which she opened with the force and exited *Walks out of the hangar with Lavender and toward council chamber* *Takes in a breath* "Never thought this day would come." *Looks at Lav* "Thank you for all you've done. I'm indebted to you."

"Oh tuush, it was our mission. We were both doing our jobs." She hesitated. "I admit feeling slight prejudice against you in the earlier years before the mission. I was angry with what you had done. You killed my husband's father- well future husband." She smiled at any mention of Logan. The smile melted away as she continued her confession. "You killed so many. You threw out the Jedi code and smudged our name for a long long time." She put a hand on her shoulder as they walked, "I'm sorry! I'm not meaning to bring up bad memories! I'm simply trying to let you know that I'm sorry for being angry with you, it was wrong. Even the greatest of sinners can seek salvation. I'm glad you've made the right choice, Soleia. As far as I'm concerned, Commander Reiss is dead. A new Soleia is before me. And I hope I can call her my friend.." They finally stopped outside the turbolift

During Lavender's speech Soleia's heart wrenched more than once at the painful memories. It was all true. She understood that many weren't as forgiving as Lavender, people would still hate her, but she'd accepted that long time ago. She had plenty of regrets, but she'd learned not to let them destroy her, simply fuel her desire to be a better person every day. After all she'd been through, the dominant emotion now was simply gratitude. She looked at Lavender, knowing she was a better friend than she deserved.
"It would be an honor."

Lavender smiled, "of course you would be!" She didn't let on whether she was joking or not, something she learned well from Crie. "I realized that I am not innocent. I've taken lives. Unless to put them out of their pain, there is never a need to take a life. I can't justify anything you've done. But I can't justify somethings I have done either." She paused as she stepped onto the elevator. "Well enough of that sentimental stuff! We've got your freedom to barter for!"

Crie was silent in the elevator ride down but once they stepped out she spoke, "It's good to see you again, my old Apprentice."

"It's very good to see you, too, Master, and more so because we don't have to meet secretly."

"How's Kistal? Is she training well?"

"Yes, but sometimes I feel she thinks she knows better than I. I'm beginning to realize what you had to put up with in training me." "She's gifted though, and she has a good heart... with guidance she'll make a great Jedi. Valon hasn't started training yet, I think I'll let him decide for himself as I did with Kistal. And my youngest, Neeson...I'm not sure yet."

"Three children. Things have changed! And you left them home with Jango??" Gives Soleia a worried look.
