These freighters are a favorite of smugglers and fringe because of their inconspicuous appeaance and their high capacity for upgrades. Please note that these ships sell as freighters, so they are not equipped with weapons or the hyperdrive upgrades that freelances such as Lando Calrissian, Han Solo, and Dash Rendar modified their ships with. The good thing about this, though, is that it allows you to completely customize your ship with various parts, bought separately.

This type of ship was made famous by the legendary Han Solo. His ship, the Millennium Falcon, was equipped with a remarkable hyperdrive warp vortex stabilizer, designed by the mechanic known as “Doc”, to allow it to achieve the incredible superlightspeed of 0.5.

This type of ship was made famous by the late Dash Rendar (anyone else have his Power of the Force action figure like me? One of my most prized possessions…) His Outrider flew at a speed of 0.75 past lightspeed, slower than the Falcon’s 0.5 but still much faster than most military vessels. The YT-2400 model has a huge capacity for upgrades, as it contains power generators that supply much more power than is necessary and has a large amount of interior space.

One of my personal favorite Star Wars ships of all time, this type of ship is often mistakenly called a “Blockade Runner”. In truth, there was only one Blockade Runner, the Tantive IV which carried the plans for the Death Star to the world of Tatooine. All other ships of this make are correctly called Corellian Corvettes.

The New Republic Center Maintenance Droid is a very old but still functional model of repair and maintenance droid.

The LE is a very successful repair model that is unique in that it can both repair machines very well and function as a companion to its owner. It is also the only make of droid I have ever seen that has toes. Dash Rendar own one of these druids, named LE-BO2D9, or “Leebo”. The two were very close friends.

The WED Treadwell is a repair model that is both cheap and reliable. It has multiple arms, each with a different tool on the end, and a set of comically large microbinoculars which function as eyes.

M-3Pos are military versions of 3POs. They serve as adjutants to military units and are very effective in that regard, except for the fact that they adhere very strictly to the protocol which they are programmed for. Their most distinctive feature is their clamshell-shaped heads.

Pddroids are a model of Protocol droid designed to interact with Lurrians, who live on cliffs in frigid conditions. To this end, all PDs have been equipped with detatchable hands with jets and cables to assist in climbing. They also sport a snow shield for their photoreceptors which jut out from their foreheads.
