Walter isn't the only one; I loved it! Saphira was beautiful, I loved her sceathers, most of the cast did excellent, and the music is some of the best I've heard. ;D Jeremy Irons should get Best Supporting Actor.
Don't let the reviews fool you. How trustworthy are reviews these days, anyway? It's a very good movie; a little short, and if you've read the book then I'll warn you there are small and big changes they made, - but hey! All movies are different from books, because the theatrical world differs greatly from the written world. I myself would have made changes when adapting the book to a movie; although mine would have differed in some areas. Overall, I think they did a good job with the constraints they had, and I'm proud and happy to be able to see the movie. ;D One thing I can't stand is seeing all these "Eragon fans" bashing it everywhere right and left because some things in the movie are different from the book. Relax, go back and watch it again with a kid's heart. Appreciate it; could you have put together a movie on that scale? Don't be so quick to run it down just because you had different expectations.
I'm planning to see it again tonight!

I saw it last night. As the site's critic, I have to go over it again. However, despite some interesting acting and my love for Sienna Guillory, the movie felt very rushed. I'd never read the book, but I can tell that there were key things missing from the book. The film seemed choppy, and though the visuals were spectacular, there seemed to be no real reason for Sienna to be included as a character.

...How is it anything like Harry Potter? The only thing i can think of is that they both use magic. But Mel, magic has been around a lot longer than Harry Potter

I still have not seen it, nor have I read the book. I'm waiting for the movie to come over to the 3 buck theater. It's alot cheaper, but you have to wait longer. I'm going to go insane.
