So? $825 billion stimulus package... will any of it help? According to CBO only $26 billion will be spent this year (just over 3 percent). Another $110 billion (13 percent) will be spent next year. Which means that by halfway through "the messiah's" term he'd have only spent 16 percent of it. What about this quick "jolt" he was talking about? He billed that this thing is an investment in infrastructure yet only 3 percent ($30 billion) will be used for road and highway spending. What about the high promises by Lord Obama to create "green jobs" and clean energy? Only 2 percent of the money will be used for clean energy and ONLY 1/7th of that glorious number will be spent in the next 2 years!CBO (Congressional Budge Office) tells us that billions of bucks will be used to buy new computers and replace government cars with new alternative fuel vehicles. And as Glenn Beck has wonderfully stated "In all, the money is going to 150 different federal programs — from Amtrak to the TSA — and it's not clear a single new job will be created." So, he's helping the government (giving them more power, so to say. *ahemsocialismahem*). He's giving billions of dollars in tax cuts to Hollywood. Can you say special interest? It's a clear payoff for all the money Hollywood poured into his "awe-inspiring" campaign. What's some more pork in this package? $375 million for the Smith Center for the Performing Arts. $167 million for a new Las Vegas city hall. $135.9 million for a new city hall downtown campus in North Las Vegas. $250 million to add an extra lane in both directions on Interstate 15 between Blue Diamond Road and Tropicana Avenue. $175 million to widen U.S. 95 between Rainbow Boulevard and Ann Road. $200 million to improve the airport connector south of the tunnel at I-215. Today, drivers proceeding toward Henderson from McCarran International Airport and Paradise Road merge from two lanes onto one, which sharply curves right as a cloverleaf. The county proposes a softer-turning ramp from the connector onto the freeway, as well as an additional lane in each direction on I-215 between that interchange and Warm Springs Road. $82 million to complete the beltway between Decatur Boulevard and North Fifth Street. Traffic flow along this part of the beltway is now restricted by traffic lights. $63 million to repave thoroughfares. Some of the county’s more deficient roads would get preferential treatment if all, or part, of this project is funded. Seven roads are expected to be favored: Pecos Road, between Russell and Viking roads and again between El Dorado Lane and Sunset Road; Bermuda Road between Hidden Well Road and Sunset; Decatur between Gary Avenue and Pebble Road; Nellis Boulevard between Russell and Tropicana; Maryland Parkway between King Richard Avenue and Sahara Avenue; Carey Avenue between Pecos and Lamb Boulevard; and Palm Street between Emerald and Helaman avenues. $18 million for a new fleet maintenance facility in Henderson to repair and maintain city vehicles. And what's with passing out contraceptives? Creating jobs. Really? And now we have the government tripling the creation of dollar bills. But really, any idiot can figure out that if you have nothing to back up the bill, creating more is just going to stretch out the worth. Does it not seem fishy that the government seems to want the United States to fail economically? Perhaps they've got their own agendas to push. Hmm?I have given my opinion of Obama's first days. Now you give yours...

This makes no sense. You ask us in the poll question how we think Obama has done so far in office, yet the only answers we can vote for that are positive pertain to the Stimulus Package. Obama has done more than just the stimulus package.

Obama has done more than just the stimulus package. [sarcasm]Yes, like fund over-seas abortions. ;D[/sarcasm] Anyway, I don't really pay attention to much of what Obama has done; he's our prez, so I hope for the best, but I'm not expecting anything special from him, or anyone else for that matter. One thing I find interesting, though, is that everyone was so agianst Bush, yet now that Obama's in office he's just doing the same thing Bush did- trying to stimulate the economy by giving out money? And people think he's some kind of hero. Politicans are so full of it. MAN is just man, no matter what. Nothing's going to change that. P.S. I didn't read the whole post, but I think I got the gist of it. :B Oh, and I voted that the increased production of the dollar will harm, because it doesn't really take care of anything, all it does is deflate the value of our money, which causes prices to go up, which makes having more money absoultely useless. So ultimately it's just using up resources that could be used for more important things, like video games and dryer sheets.

Obama has done more than just the stimulus package. [sarcasm]Yes, like fund over-seas abortions. ;D[/sarcasm] Let us not forget all the "honest Abe's" he's filling his cabinet with. And this is coming from the guy who promised hope and change coming out of Washington as well as an ethical approach to politics. What scares me the most is the ONLY thing that made Daschle or whatever his name is nd what's her name drop out is because of all the media attention. Obama would have accepted them. I mean, what about Guitner (sp?), he's still in there! The only reason Democrats don't care about raised taxes is because they know they don't pay them anyway, why bother!? I also love this "slobbering love affair" between Obama and the media. He's now turning to a policy that got George W. Bush in HOT water. The act of bringing terrorists in to foreign prisons and interrogating them. Well Bush was hounded on this and portrayed as a villain. However, the biased, senseless, outright pathetic media doesn't worry one bit about the Lord Barack Husein Insane Obama Osama Messiah, the Merciful Anointed One doing this! As for other Democrats, it takes a massive public outcry to get them to play fair about them. You take any Republican, toss them in the same tax situation, they'd get hung by the media! And the dems support it all the way! I tell ya, it's a slobberin', smoochin' love affair between Obama and the media and all the "anointed one's" supporters are FINALLY starting to wake up from this cult-like chant of "yes we can, yes we can, yes we can." (Maybe I oughta go into talk-radio ) And I'll tell ya'll another thing. I don't think I've been any more serious than I am now... America is literally dying. It's on the brink of being a walking corpse! Us, Americans here, because of our close borders with Canada realize it's apparent insignificance. Not to be mean to them, but honestly... if it weren't for Geography, would we even know anything about the place!? It's, on the world's scale, an insignificant country that plays really no role in history or politics for that matter. America is coming close to it. All we need is Nancy Soak Your Head Pelosi and Barack Charlatan Incarnated Obama to do their wonders and we'll loose control of our country. This is how scary the situation is. If the liberals do a mass blanket amnesty over illegals we're gonna have a massive stream of them and their families coming here. And figures have shown that illegals mostly side with liberals. Why? That's where the entitlement is. This alone will shift the tide of voting making it a one party system. Once the next generation of these illegals comes in we're gonna have a massive liberal country. Then what will will have coming out of Washington I wonder?

I can't say I'm filled with optimism, but I'm hoping it'll actually do good. Just remember, his motto is change, not improvement Aye... and let us not forget his inaugural address about "remaking America"? You know, the evidence against him being a good man or even a sane man is stacked up against him, however the media has shun it. And what's more appalling is that the American people have shunned the truth as well! Thomas Jefferson once said that "the American people won't make a mistake if they are given all the facts." In a way, we were given enough facts about this terrorist sympathizing, anti-Christian before we entered the voting booths to make a good decision. But just because he made us swoon during his good speeches many decided to vote for him (and some just because he was black...). I've said it before and I will say it again, the ability to make good speeches is as worthless as the ability to balance a penny on your nose. It takes character to form a man. Look at Adolf Hitler; it's said he was an amazing speech-giver, but look at the wonders he brought to Germany (and the rest of Europe for that matter).

I would debate your "Hitler=phail" thing... he actually did good for Germany, and for the Aryan Germans. He brought national pride. He brought economic growth. He brought a lot of others. The bad part was that it was at the expense of everyone else, including the Jews and Thought Criminals.
Anyhoo, Don't bring Religion into this. Church and State are separated. If we got a Zoroastrian president, I wouldn't care. If we get a frickin Pagan goat-sacrificing Scot I wouldn't care. Anti-Christian doesn't come into play.
It's his ideology that is dangerous. Open arms to EVERYTHING and the amount that we'll let our guard down if he does what he wants to do, means open balls to the kick.

That's just what I'm going to do is bring church and state into it. Christianity is the most hated religion in the world, why? Because it's the right one. Christ being taken out of "Christmas", media siding with Gaza over Jerusalem (even though the Jews are Judaic and not Christian), this entire church and state being separated is a bunch of jargon that wasn't so in the beginning. This country would shun Mike Huckabee, one of the reasons being is that he was a preacher, all the while prayer to God is being taken out of public schools, and in some Islamic prayer being added in, the persecution of Christians is something no other religion (except Judaism) rarely meets. The scientific community chooses evolution (a theory unproven by science) over Creation (a theory proven by science) and begins to brainwash the masses in public school with the "facts" of it! And I'm going to bet your gonna come back and say "evolution is fact, creation is just a religion" because that's what your teachers trained you to say. Christianity is being shunned and hated and now being stripped away from the government, thanks to the Church and State belief.

Christianity is being shunned and hated and now being stripped away from the government, thanks to the Church and State belief. The thing is, I personally am a form of Christian (albeit twisted) but I believe that Religion should be kept separate from politics lest we have another goddamned inquisition. I am against the "Christ out of Christmas" bull. I would support Huckabee as President OR VP even if he is/was a preacher. But to be bluntly honest, the reason Church and State, as organizations, must stay separated, is to keep religious nutjobs like the Mullahs in Iran from getting into power. Remember the Taliban? You'll get a Christian version if you let the Church become the State. Remember the wanton slaughtering of Jews and Protestants in the Inquisition? Church and State. The Church is the spiritual leader and I will follow my Church, so to speak, for all of my spiritual matters, matters that pertain to my ethics and my beliefs. HOWEVER, the State is the Secular leader. I will follow, or disagree with, the state based on my secular beliefs. If you let the Church and State become intertwined, you WILL GET RELIGIOUS NUTS IN POWER. Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, Scientologist... (See: Cult) any religion, if you intertwine it with state, you will get despotism and widespread theocracy multiple times. Mansa Musa of Mali was a benevolent Muslim leader, but after him? Mullahs who enforced theocracy. The Christian Kings before Isabella and Ferdinand were often quite nice, but remember the beloved Isabella and Ferdinand? Do you want a pear, or more modernized torture device, stuck into your mouth or those of your descendants for speaking out, for perceived heresy? THAT is why we separate church and state. State can never reasonably justify torture, or genocide, but what about Church and State together? They're heretics, or Heathens, so let's kill them because they're less than human. REMEMBER THAT. Church has NO PLACE in the state. Church leads spiritually, the State, in a secular manner. And never the twain shall meet.
