When Ian arrived at the Jedi Temple he made his way to the Council Room in a mad sprint. He could tell he was already going to be late. This wasn't going to go well with the Masters. Ian busted into the room. Out of breathe and gasping for air. "I'm......... sorry.......... I'm..... late...... Masters," Ian said as he tried to catch his breath in between words. He then bowed. Awaiting further instructions. Or punishment.

The council members stared at him for a little bit, some shocked at his entrance, some wondering if they could transform this errant padawan into a real Jedi, others were just kind of bored. *murmurs* "this isn't going to be easy.." "Young Valdenheim," Guegue started, "we've called you here today to talk about your training. The extra years training at the Temple has been profitable to your over all status but we feel that you cannot go any longer as a padawan here. We will assign you a Master."

Ian was shocked at the words he just heard. He couldn't believe it. He was actually going to train to become a Jedi. He stood there for a moment. A tear almost forming in his eye. "I am so happy to here those words Master. I will not let you or anyone else on the Council down. You have my word," Octavian said with a bow. He then returned to his erect form and waited further instructions from the Council.

"Master Chifoo has volunteered." He glanced at Chifoo. "We all agree that he is the best choice. Though your lack of instruction was not your fault, it will be dealt with." "He means to say, I won't be easy on you." Chifoo was already second guessing his decision to train the wayward padawan. He had trouble with patience and was usually crabby. But from what he heard this boy needed to be whipped into shape, his lack of Master didn't allow for him to grow as much as he should have the past few years. But it would be a challenge, which is what caught his attention in the first place.

Ian looked at Master Chifoo. He gave him a friendly smile. "It will be an honor to learn under your tutelage Master," Ian said as he bowed to Chifoo. "Where do we begin Master?" Ian said with a curious tone.

"We are assigning you and your new Master on a routine mission to safely transport documents from the Senate to Bozor. These documents are a crucial piece in settling a dispute between the planet and the neighboring moon. The Council has agreed the Jedi will act as Mediator between the two worlds. Retrieve the documents from the Senate and go on your way. Be careful, there are people who wish Bozor to remain in a state of war. May the Force be with you." *looks at Ian* "We'll leave right now." *hops down from his little chair* "I hope you're up to it." *turns and bows to the masters* "May the force be with you. You will hear of our progress."

"I'm ready Master," Ian said to Chifoo. He then looked at the other Masters, "May the Force be with you," he said as he bowed to them. He then turned on his heels and followed Chifoo. "One question Master. Hope you don't mind. Will I be using a lightsaber? I haven't used one at all," Ian said in a shameful tone.

Chifoo looked at Ian, bewildered. How could he have been training under the Jedi for so long and not have used a lightsaber? He turned to the council, dumbfounded. "You DID say you enjoyed a challenge." Chifoo took a deep breath then walked out of the room without so much as another word. <<halls>>
